The price? well were looking at a cool starting price of $199.

Hang on Starting price..?
Yeah you heard right, similar to the Xbox 360 and Wii U releases, we’ll be treated to different packs:
- Atari VCS Collector’s Edition with a retro wood front
- Atari VCS Onyx version in all black.
Atari will also have packages that bundle in a “Classic Joystick” or “Modern Controller” at what will likely be higher tier prices so get those wallets ready.
The Atari VCS will include access to 100 classic games in the Atari Vault, but whether it will be able to handle more current titles similar to those is the PSN / Steam Xbox live stores are to be confirmed.
The console will run on a custom AMD processor with Radeon graphics supporting 4K, HDR, and 60fps content. Expandable on-board storage is an option, and what feels like standard connectivity via dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB 3.0 will be included. The OS will be a proprietary version of Linux that has a custom Atari interface.
So in short, as powerfull as a switch, but not quiet up there with it’s senior console leaders… still somehow seems a better bet than a Ouya, and more chance of a release than the Spectrum Vega Plus.
