Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 recieve backwards compatibility treatment on Xbox One

Playstation classics Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3, which previously on the PS3 and Xbox 360 recieved the HD treatment have been announced by Microsoft as the next titles recieving the backwards compatibility treatment, joining a huge list of previous titles, and putter further shame of their competitors paltry offerings right now.
Given Konami had recently announced Silent Hill HD Collection and Zone of Enders HD Collection as receiving backwards compatibility, it was almost a no-brainer Snake and the gang would be getting the same treatment. Personally, the only MGS game I’ve really played was the PSP edition back 10 years ago, having had an N64 and Dreamcast at the time of the franchise success on PS1 and PS2, so I suspect a retrospective review of the series is in order to bring me up to date (no spoilers please! I’ve avoided them for years just in case).
Both titles have received rave reviews by the gaming press both at the time and during their HD re-release so if like me you’re new to the series, it’s the closest we’ll get to being assured of a great time gaming. The only question remains on when CEX/Gamestop will bump up the price…
Grab it now cheaply while you can!
