IS THE KFC CONSOLE REAL OR A JOKE?

Finger Clicking Good.

Yeah… I didn’t believe this either when I heard about it June this year… more so I filed it in the bin marked ‘Atari VCS/Coleco Chameleon/& Co.’ for a jolly good laugh at for sometime in the near future..

And yet here I am… Writing about something that still sounds as ludicrous as when Steam decided they were going to go all in with console development.. using HTPCs.

So.. having dug out the press release today I suppose I should go through the finer points of what the KFConsole actually includes (besides the handy warmer for greasy chicken goodness):

●Sleek bargain-bucket-inspired design
●Innovative chicken chamber
●Unrivalled power from the ‘Zinger’ processor chip clocked at 11Ghz
●Cross-platform compatibility
●Resolutions up to True 4k at 120 fps
● 1 Tb Seagate Barrcuda Drive
● Designed by CoolerMaster

It’s the true 4k gaming and reports that the machine will be happy to pump out VR Gaming visuals that’s had me curious as to the finer points of the ‘Zinger’ processor, or more so if this really could be an interesting Competitor for the casual market outside of the Big three. One thing for sure though, it’s currently looking a better system than the Atari VCS.

Josh Benge, Brand Engagement Manager at KFC, had the following to say:

“At KFC we’ve been continually astounded by the gaming community’s amazing response to everything we’ve done and we had to give back with something truly incredible. We wanted to give gamers the best gaming experience on the market, with the convenience of a home chicken supply and so the the KFConsole was born. We can’t wait to get into our fans’ hands later this year.”

The KFConsole is set to be released on 11.12.20 and will be available at retailers nationwide.
