Horizon Forbidden West remains on top of UK boxed charts

Horizon Forbidden West

The latest installment of the Horizon franchise, Horizon: Forbidden West has once again taken the No.1 title on the UK physical charts, marking its third consecutive week as the best-seller.

Once again, the main reason for Horzion: Forbidden West seeing an increased surge in sales is attributed to both official and unofficial hardware bundles.

Following Horizon: Forbidden West, in second place, was Nintendo Switch Sports climbing up from last week’s No.3 and knocking down Two Point Campus.

Sega and Two Point’s last week’s release came out swinging, debuting at No.2, however, it’s weekly sales have since declined by 76%, putting the game at No.14 this week.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was at No.3 going up a spot compared to last week, followed by Pokeom Legends: Arceus at No.4 which climbed up from No.7 last week.

Rounding up the top 5, was the latest installment of the Lego franchise, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga which also went up a spot compared to the week prior.

Grand Theft Auto V re-entered the top 10, taking the No.7 spot and seeing a 53% increase in its sales, despite this September celebrating whopping nine years since its launch.

FIFA 22 charted at No.10 this week with the weekly sales of its Nintendo Switch copies increasing by 25% compared to last week.

The rest of the top ten titles pretty much remained unchanged with Gran Turismo 7 going from No.5 to No.6 and Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Minecraft staying at No.8 and No.9 respectively.

It is worth mentioning that PlayStation VR Worlds went from No.40 to No.15 this week with its sales seeing an increase of 109% week-on-week.

The only new entry on the charts this week was the Madden NFL 23 which came in at No.18.
