Could EA be planning something special for Command & Conquer’s 25th Anniversary?

Real-time strategy series Command & Conquer will be celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2020, just two years – and so in preparation, EA is exploring suggestions regarding remastering the original PC games.
This news comes directly via a post to the Command & Conquer subreddit by EA producer Jim Vessella. “As most of you may know, we recently announced Command & Conquer: Rivals, a mobile game set in the Command & Conquer universe. Following the reveal of Rivals, we heard you loud and clear: the… community also wants to see the franchise return to PC.”
Given the level of time a remake usually takes to move to fruition, 2 years is a reasonable time frame to produce a respectable remake, and I personally loved the original and it’s covert ops expansion the most out of all the series. With secret levels and adding various paths to victory for either GDI or Nod and further B-Movie FMV, this could be a fantastic game to look forward to in the near future. It may be a while before EA are ready to share further details, but until they do the classics are still available on Steam/GoG for players.
