Lego Star Wars II and Tropico 4 enter backwards compatibility today

It’s a pleasant surprise today to find Microsoft dropping more backward compatible titles to the xbox one, and these two are a great inclusion:

Lego Star Wars II is probably the best well known of all the Lego games since it was the first multi platform title of the genre to really try and go for every platform out there. Personally I know I have this on at least 4 different formats, yet like Pringles it’s just so moreish that I can’t help but return to it every few years to replay those levels.

It also helps that each level is based in story/film order on each iconic scene in the original Star Wars trilogy (before they were taken to the back of the woods and abused with additional CGI)

Tropical 4, a wonderful simulator game developed by Haemimont Games and published by Kalypso Media, and like the first and third games in the series, it centers on a customizable main character titled “El Presidente” – the dictator who runs the island banana republic who turns his beautiful island paradise into an economic powerhouse. The game, like SIM city has a steep learning curve to understand all the different functions under your control, but don’t fret too much as it gets easier with time, and you still have advisers who will prompt you into success!

Both games are well worth revisiting from the preowned bins if you don’t have them already!
