Nintendo is bringing back the NES Classic Edition after much outcry from fans. The mini-console will be available at stores beginning June 29, the company announced on Twitter this week.
“This system and the SNES Classic Edition system are expected to be available through the end of the year,” said Nintendo in a twitter post here.
The NES Classic Edition will cost exactly the same as per it’s previous release (so Expect prices to fall between £40-50 depending on store.. (possible £60 if we factor in everyone’s favourite store ‘Game’ ).
Games included on the console will also stay the same, despite what I thought would be most fitting attempt by Nintendo as switch a few of the licences around. So everyone will get to experience the classics of Super Mario Bros, Legend of Zelda, and query why classics such as Teenage Mutent Ninja Turtles, Rainbow Islands, Battletoads, Bionic Commando and Ducktales were all absent..
Meanwhile, SNES Classic Edition has remained readily available since its launch (usually in most CEX stores..) it you were thinking of diving in and collecting the set.
